The Maldon mother launching a new business that provides luxurious children’s parties

Kirsty Smith, of Maldon, is opening her new business Pamper Me Pretty, in the Kings Head Centre, High Street, on November 30.

The business offers a luxurious and calming party venue where young children can enjoy a hair pampering and beauty experience, and have their nails painted, hair styled, and much more.

Kirsty, a mother of two children, only came up with the idea within the last the few weeks.

She said: “In the last four weeks I came up with the idea, after researching. I looked around the Colchester, Chelmsford, and there was nothing in the area that gives children and parents this experience.

“I went to an estate agent to learn about business rates, and they had a space they wanted to show. It was definitely what I was looking for.

“I know as a mum, it’s something that the area needs and when I saw what the estate agent was offering me, I just went with it. It’s working out really well.”

To coincide with Maldon’s Christmas Fayre on November 30, Kirsty will be opening the business to show people around and will start to take bookings for December 15 onwards.

A pamper party package for a group of six young children (aged five upwards) starts at £240 and will involve the children being treated to an exciting experience.

The group will be welcomed by a candy floss reception with drinks, the birthday girl will get a tiara, and the children will be able to enjoy having their nails and toes painted, a foot spa, a relaxation area with ‘cucumber eyes’, music, party games and later get to take home a party bag.

The business also offers a teen package and prom package.

Kirsty is optimistic about the launch and believes the business will help fill a gap in the market.

She said: ”I’m nervous, but really excited about it.”
